I know that for many of you, the first thing you will think when you see this, is why add something else to the enormous plate of things you need to do to plan this wedding, well here is the best answer I can give--- It's no secret to anyone that I have been looking at wedding ideas for months now, long before Josh actually asked me to marry him (which, by the way, is completely healthy in my opinion). One of the greatest resources that I have found, especially considering that we will be making this wedding happen on a budget and there will be a lot of DIY projects we will be taking on to save money, have been other bride's blogs. Pinterest has just simplified the searching for these blogs, so my first piece of advice to any bride, is to join Pinterest. The one frustration I have had with these blogs, though, is that most of them are written by brides who are getting married in cities in the U.S., which doesn't help someone who is planning a rural Nova Scotian wedding. It is useless for me to know the cost of flowers, and cake etc in New York when obviously it will be much cheaper in Cape Breton.
Being that I am one of the first of my friends to get engaged and go through the planning process, I thought that I would create this blog, which will be relevant to them when their time comes. This blog will outline all of the projects that we take on, the cost of the wedding, how we save money, how we choose our bridal party and guests and everything in between.
I highly encourage other recent brides or brides-to-be to comment on these posts not only for my friends but for me as well. I am obviously no expert on wedding planning as I am sure you will soon find out when I get deep into the planning, so this will be a learning experience for all of us!
Hope you enjoy the blog!

Great idea to blog Chelsea! I have found that my trip in Asia blogging has been a nice way to get your thoughts out (sometimes stress relief). The fact that you can help others out is a bonus.
